Chrome and Aluminum Polishing

Victory Kingpen

Depending on how extreme you are willing to go with prep will determine how close to perfrct we can polish your chrome or aluminum.

For the best results we recommend having your wheels removed from the vehicle or motorcycle, and having the tire removed from the wheel as well. This allows for maximum number of angles to polish available, the more angles available the closer to perfection I can polish.

I use an eco-friendly wheel and tire cleaner, Mothers Aluminum Polish, several applicators, and alot of microfiber towels!

Chrome Polishing:

For chrome with minor scratches or flaws, boot burns, insect and/or oil contaminents cleaning and minor buffing by hand with super fine steel wool and chrome polish is used.  For chrome with deep scratches, peeling, and major flawing, replating is the only solution and must be outsourced to a professional chrome shop.

To keep chrome in good condition mild auto soap and air drying is the correct procedure.  Never let chrome air dry, never use dish soap to clean, and never wax chrome, all of these will eventually cause pitting.

Aluminum Polishing:

There are two types of aluminum, coated and uncoated.  Uncoated aluminum cannot be polished, but can be waxed and is treated like exterior paint. If the coating is damaged or scratched it must either be recoated or can be completely removed and then polished.  Uncoated aluminum is polished wither by hand with super fine steel wool or by machine using a foam buffing ball, either method uses aluminum polish
