Even though motorcycles are supposed to be equipped with stereos and electronics that are "weather resistant" don't think that is the same as "water proof" and don't assume they can handle direct water. I take a plastic grocery bag and tape it upside down just above the component so the bag hangs in front of it. You don't need it to be water tight and there is not much of anything to tape anything to around the handlebars. Just allowing the bag to hang in front of the electronics will be enough to protect it. |
Speakers can handle getting a little wet, try to avoid as much as possible. If speakers do get wet, make sure they are dry before operating. Be careful when blowing moisture out of speakers, too much pressure will rip the speaker and ruin it. |
